3D Robotics Duluth partnered with the St. Louis County Depot to host a local FIRST Lego League Explore Festival on Saturday. 22 teams of K-3rd graders from the Twin Ports area gathered in the Great Hall for a day of learning and fun with their families and friends. The teams have been working on a themed robotics project for the past few months and highlighted their research during the event. The teams presented to a judge’s panel and were given constructive feedback. Event organizers say the festival served as a good way to encourage the next generation of STEM students.

FIRST LEGO League Explore in Minnesota is part of an international robotics program that includes teams. The program is designed for kids grades K-3 and serves as a way for teams to work together and learn how science and technology impact the world around them.
