Lakeview Behavioral Health opens new Duluth office within Fitger’s

Lakeview Behavioral Health has expanded their operations to create a new office in Duluth starting Tuesday, January 2nd.

Lakeview Behavioral Health has expanded their operations to create a new office in Duluth. They began operations on Tuesday, February 2nd at their new office located at 600 East Superior Street in the Fitger’s Building.

Lakeview offers a range of outpatient services, including mental health support, substance use treatment, and psychiatric care.

“Expanding into Duluth represents a significant milestone for Lakeview Behavioral Health,” remarked Tom Johnson, CEO of Lakeview. “We are dedicated to bridging gaps in care, ensuring that individuals in underserved communities across greater Minnesota have access to the support they need. Our commitment to providing exceptional care remains unwavering as we open our doors in Duluth.”

Johnson also said they offer services for people of all ages. “We’re glad to be in a community that is open to new organizations that are here to help,” Johnson said. “We are clinician centered and we’re looking to work with people in the community and provide care for the people who need that.”

Johnson also said several patients’ mental health have long-term impacts years after the pandemic.

“We’re seeing that people want that connection and the relationships that they’ve missed out on for a few years. That has created some depression and anxiety and just exacerbations of preexisting conditions,” Johnson said. “Including substance use disorders. And we’re happy to be here to be able to serve our community.”

Lakeview Behavioral Health also has offices in Hibbing, Grand Rapids, and Brainerd.
