Jazz at The Depot returns for the winter season

The Depot is bringing back the music to their building this winter.

Starting Saturday the popular music series Jazz at The Depot returns to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum. It runs from 3:00pm until 6:00pm trackside in the train museum.

Now through April the museum will be hosting the Depot Jazz Quartet as they play classic jazz, big band, swing, fusion, and Latin jazz. Including music ranging from the greatest hits through songs on modern charts.

Herstory of Women in Jazz Organizer Cheryl Champion says the idea for Jazz at the Depot started almost two years ago. “There is no jazz place to play that’s permanent. And so after looking around for a place to play, they came up with this idea and the depot made the offer.”

Admission is still $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Or you can get in using your Lake Superior Railroad Museum membership which start at $40.00.

Randy Lee, Rick Bruner, John Thorene and Paul Ierino make up the Depot Jazz Quartet.
