It’s been amazing weather all week in Duluth and that has brought out some amazing volunteers with green thumbs!

Duluth welcomed a special group from Gillette, Wyoming to help spruce up Leif Erikson Park’s Rose Garden today.

Prince of Peace Lutheran is a church group that travels state to state doing small community service projects with their youth members around the country.

“The main mission is just to come do a lot of service projects, meet different people , it’s just kind of giving our youth a chance to meet and see poverty and different walks of life that they might not experience in Gillette Wyoming.” says Amanda Moeller, Organizer for Prince of Peace.

The group travelled a whopping 17 hours to get to Duluth from Gillette and were excited to be here.

“Community work is important because it is needed. A lot of people need help and we are happy to help them.” says Dylan, Prince of Peace Youth Member.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will continue their service work in Duluth until Wednesday and then will return to Gillette, Wyoming this upcoming weekend.
