Enjoy the sunrise and a coffee at the DECC in January

The first week of January marks the first annual Sunrise Coffee Event at the DECC. Opening their doors at 7:00 a.m. with warm coffee and a beautiful view, the DECC says the newly refurbished Symphony Hall is a perfect place to enjoy the start of a crisp winter day this January.

“Long term, I want the DECC to be a mix of super low key casual affairs and those big fun giant concerts that the DECC is known for,” shared the DECC’s Executive Director, Dan Hartman. “But, I think that the sweet spot is to do both of them. I want the DECC to always feel like an accessible place for everybody.”

The DECC is located on the shores of the Saint Louis Bay, overlooking the Ariel Lift bridge and Lake Superior. The facility boasts floor to ceiling windows that look out onto this majestic view.

“We are in, what I would argue, is the best spot to watch a sunrise here in Duluth,” Hartman says.

Grab a camera, a friend, and head on over to the DECC for this new opportunity to enjoy a warm sunrise in the brisk Duluthian winter. Doors are open from 7:00a.m. to 9:00a.m. every Thursday in the month of January with no charge for parking. Coffee is provided.
