Duluth Police arrest man convicted for assault with a firearm for probation violation

The Duluth Police Department say they arrest Matthew Closson, 20, on Sunday for probation violation.

Closson was on a furlough from the St. Louis County Jail where he was convicted of 2nd Degree Assault with a Firearm.

A statement from the department said, “Officers set up a perimeter and negotiated with him. After a short period of time, Closson surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.”
