City of Duluth hosts meetings for 2023 project on First Avenue East
The city of Duluth held two public meetings on Thursday to discuss the city’s upcoming reconstruction project of 1st Avenue East between Superior Street and 3rd Street. The meetings were intended to gain feedback from the public as to what city residents would like to see and what new changes can be made to the street.
The project will feature both street and utility work, focusing on the construction of new roadway, pavement and sidewalks. There are also plans for water main replacements, new hot water mains, and updated storm sewer systems.
Building owners within the immediate vicinity of the construction site are encouraged by the city to reach out to discuss project coordination, building inspections, utility service interruptions and construction staging issues.
