What was supposed to be the third annual Greg Freese memorial cancer fundraiser started out on a more somber note as Tammy Churness passed away during the early hours of August the 18th.

The original plan was to come together for Tammy Churness on Saturday August the 19th with the hope of helping raise funds for her cancer treatment and any other medical expenses.

Even with her passing, folks still came out in large numbers to still donate and support the family, something organizers say they are grateful for.

“It’s amazing, especially with everything going on in the world today, all the negativities. These people are phenomenal to take time out of their day, to come here and throw their support for the family with everything they’re going through right now, it’s phenomenal”. Said Troy Fralich, one of the organizers who own Tig’s Smok’n Pig BBQ.

Tammy had spent the past few years battling stage four breast cancer.
