20th annual Richard I. Bong fundraiser renamed 2023 Veterans Gala
The Richard I. Bong Veterans Memorial Center hosted their 20th annual auction on Thursday night. The event, renamed the 2023 Veterans Gala, is meant to raise funds to support the center and show appreciation to service members in the Twin Ports community. Guests were treated to a social hour, dinner, presentation and live and silent auctions. This year, attendees were also able to hear from guest speaker Sammy Davis, the “Real Forrest Gump.”
Event officials say that the event brings community members together and showcases the hard work the center does throughout the year. The money raised from the auction go towards supporting the operations and programs of the center year-round.
