100g methamphetamine seized in City of Ironwood

Four people have been arrested in the City of Ironwood, in connection to selling methamphetamine.

In March of 2023, the Gogebic-Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT) and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) were investigating the sale of meth in the area. Officers worked undercover to purchase product from one of the suspects.

At the end of April, the GIANT team arrested one of the suspects during a traffic stop, locating approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine inside the trunk of the vehicle.

On May 1, the UPSET team searched another suspect’s home, seizing more meth, U.S. currency, and a firearm. Three more people were arrested, and over 100 grams of methamphetamine was seized in total.

All four suspects are facing felony charges, including intent to deliver and sell methamphetamine.
