Bob Briski hit the 2000 mark in December. And now, two months later, he’s hit 3000. "Winter is the busiest time for birding out here. I know that now, and will be ready next year," he joked

The Zim man has been carving little wooden owls, and leaving them at the end of Auggie‘s Bogwalk.

Birders from around the world have taken one home, and kept the memory of his little great-grandson alive. "Auggie will never be forgotten," he said. "That’s what keeps me going."

They’ve also collected enough money from birders who leave donations to start a scholarship in Auggie’s name.
