Wisconsin hits 50% fully vaccinated against COVID-19
The State of Wisconsin has hit the 50 percent mark for people fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, that accounts for nearly 3 million people. They reported 60 percent of adults have gotten at least one dose of a COVID vaccine.
"This is an incredible milestone, and we are proud to see the millions of Wisconsinites who have taken this step to protect themselves and their community from COVID-19 and the Delta variant," Evers said.
Wisconsin has seen an uptick in doses of vaccine given for each of the past four weeks. Everyone 12 and under is eligible.
