Winnipeg Jets coach Maurice resigns
Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice has resigned in a surprise move in his ninth year with the team.
The team says the move is effective immediately. It did not state a reason for Maurice’s departure in a brief news release.
Dave Lowry has been elevated to interim coach.
The Jets are 13-10-5 heading into their game against the visiting Washington Capitals.
Eight seasons. Five playoff appearances. Countless memories.
