Visit Duluth’s board of directors vote to continue negotiations with the city

The marketing agency Visit Duluth is going forward with negotiations with the city of Duluth.

The board of directors meeting made their decision regarding their future during a meeting Wednesday.

This comes after the Duluth City Council meeting Monday in which the council voted to go forward with a recommendation from Mayor Emily Larson to enter contracts with Bellmont Partners for Duluth tourism marketing.

The council then tabled a discussion on what to do with their Visit Duluth. There’s a possibility of having Visit Duluth market on a smaller level, such as covering conventions.

The issue could come up on at the next city council meeting on Monday.
