Cloquet is having a booster clinic for anyone 12 and older on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. It is being held at Community Memorial Hospital by appointment only.
As the omicron variant is rapidly spreading, health experts are encouraging everyone to get vaccinated and boosted.
They say with covid cases are on the rise, hospitals are reaching capacity.
"It is not over! We are anticipating a major surge in the next month”, said the Incident Commander at Community Memorial Hospital, Dr. Charles Kendall, MD.
“We had a crisis planning meeting last week because we are seeing what is going on around the country with hospital systems being overwhelmed. We are getting ready for that if it happens in our state and our facilities.”
The vaccine clinic will run until 7:30 pm, Tuesday night. Walk-ins will not be accepted, but you can call 879-1271 to make an appointment.
