Two time Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Coach of the Year Zach Otto-Fisher is stepping down as head coach of the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) women’s basketball team.

He had spent one year as an assistant in 2016 before taking over the program for five seasons. In that time he helped lead the Yellowjackets to a 75-42 overall record going 51-17 in the UMAC play.

Under his leadership UWS earned two UMAC regular season titles and one playoff championship to make a NCAA tournament appearance during the 2017-18 season.

In a press release from the university Otto-Fisher cited personal reasons for his resignation.

A national search for his replacement will begin immediately.
