UWS mens and womens soccer teams fall in NCAA tournament first round

NCAA tournament action began today for both the men’s and women’s University of Wisconsin Superior soccer squads.
For the men’s team they faced Washington University, in a close battle. A goal however with 20 minutes left in the game sealed the deal as they fell 1-0. Payton Anderson made seven saves in the loss.
On the women’s side of the pitch the Yellowjackets took on St. Catherine.
A tough opponent that saw UWS down one goal going into the half time.
Freshman keeper Jenna Lang recorded 11 saves, but UWS wasn’t able to create any pressure.
They fall 4-0, and finish the season 18-4-1.
