The University of Wisconsin-Superior announced Thursday that it will require masks for all students and employees regardless of vaccination status. The requirement will go into effect on Monday, August 16, and applies to all indoor spaces and facilities.
School officials say masks will also be required in all common areas within residential halls.
“We are striving to do everything within our power to deliver a top-quality educational experience, while continuing to help slow or stop the spread of COVID-19,” Chancellor Renée Wachter said in a press release sent on Thursday.
UW-Superior will also host a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic and a testing site on campus. Beginning Tuesday, August 17, the Vaccination Clinic will move from Wessman Arena to Room 157 in the Yellowjacket Union. Walk-in appointments are available Tuesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. More information can be found at uwsuper.edu/vaccine.
The community COVID-19 testing site in the Marcovich Wellness Center will remain open for anyone five years or older until September 30. More information can be found at uwsuper.edu/covidtest.
