As of Tuesday morning, the 911 outage in Cook County has been resolved. People can now use 911 to phone in emergencies.
The St. Louis Country Sherriff’s Office reported the outage on Monday, which affected both landlines and cell phones.
In the case of an emergency during a 911 outage, officials advise people to go to the Cook Fire/Ambulance Hall. That is located at 111 2nd St. Southeast in Cook.
