Over the weekend the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s basketball team continued their Division II domination knocking down Minot State University 91-73 Friday, then the University of Mary 77-64 Saturday to sit 11-0 on the season

So now seems like the perfect time to test the waters at the next level. While it’s exhibition play the Bulldogs feel ready for Division I University of Nevada on Wednesday.

"We know we can compete and we just want to prepare how we’ve been preparing because it’s been working so far," sophomore guard Joshua Brown said.

"It’s a great opportunity for our guys to go out to Nevada and compete against one of the better teams in the Mountain West Conference," head coach Justin Wieck said. "I’ve got a unique relationship with Steve Alford who I played for at [the University of] Iowa, so a lot of credit to him for bringing us out there."

The Bulldogs also have the confidence from boasting the best record in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Tip-off against Nevada is set for 9pm Wednesday night in Reno.
