The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) womens hockey team was taking on Harvard in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The first and second period for UMD was all offence as Gabbie Hughes would open the scoring.

In the second Hughes would score two more goals, another in the final seconds of the middle frame to complete the natural hattrick.

The shots after 2 periods were even 18-18, but it was the Bulldogs who were able to finish the scoring chances.

Mckenzie Hewett would add another tally at the 13 minute mark of the third period, as UMD won 4-0.

They now move on to play number one Minnesota in the NCAA quarterfinals, who beat them last week in the Frozen Face-off, this Saturday at 2:00 P.M at Ridder Arena.
