The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey team will host Bemidji State University for their Sophie’s Squad mental health awareness game.

The January 15th event will serve to shed the light on the importance of mental health in athletes from youth to college.

A Minnesota native, Sophie Wieland lost her life to suicide last summer.

Fans that will be in attendance should turn out in teal for the 3 p.m puck drop Saturday afternoon.
