UMD women’s hockey moves up, men stay No. 7 in USCHO poll

After big weekends both the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s and women’s hockey teams have maintained their status as top ten teams in the nation.

Skating to a win and tie over Miami University in Ohio, the Bulldog men have held onto the number seven spot in the latest USCHO.com poll. UMD (12-8-2) will return to action Friday and Saturday visiting the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Meanwhile after picking up a big Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) sweep over Bemidji State University, the UMD women have moved up one spot to number eight in the USCHO rankings. Now 13-7 they will also hit the road this weekend visiting Ohio State University.
