The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s basketball team is barreling through the second half of this season, notching wins in their last four games to sit 12-4 overall.

Defense has been huge in the Bulldogs’ win streak, as they’ve only given up just over 45 points a game.

"They’re doing a really good job of taking away the other team’s individual tendencies number one, and number two collectively they’re doing a really good job of getting in the right places at the right time and they’re doing the best that they can to finish every play with a rebound," said head coach Mandy Pearson.

"We’re not going to allow them to get the shots that they’re comfortable taking, or that they want to take, and have them take really tough shots," senior forward Brooke Olson said.

The Bulldogs will look to make it five in a row this weekend in their second straight road trip. Friday they’ll pay a visit to Augustana University then it’s on to Wayne State College Saturday.
