UMD softball splits double header with Minot State

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) softball team was at home Saturday taking on Minot State.

UMD came into the game with a 17-9 record, Minot with a 22-5 record.

The Bulldogs would come out flying, scoring 5 runs in the first inning with hits from Frost, Swank, and Burkhardt.

Minot would however battle back, tying the game in the top of the 7th.

The match would then go into extra inning with MISU scoring 4 runs in the 11th, winning by the final of 9-6.

In the second game of the double header UMD won 7-2.
