UMD men’s hockey sweeps St. Cloud, advances to Frozen-Faceoff

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey team was one win away from finishing off the St.Cloud Huskies, and moving on in the postseason, after winning game one 5-2.

It would be the Huskies however that jump out to a 2-0 lead heading into the third period.

A quick goal to start the final frame from Noah Cates gets UMD on the board.

Dominic James would then tie the game up for the Bulldogs.

They trailed again, but with 3 minutes left Tanner Ladderoute would tie the game.

The game would go to overtime where Noah Cates finishes it off, UMD moved on with a 4-3 win, as they advance to St. Paul for the Frozen-Faceoff.
