UMD men’s basketball’s Casey Bruggeman joining South Dakota staff

University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s basketball assistant coach Casey Bruggeman is departing the Bulldogs after four seasons.

He has accepted the position of Director of Operations for men’s basketball at the University of South Dakota.

During his time with the Bulldogs Bruggeman helped them compile a 70-32 record, which included their first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division Title and a NCAA tournament berth.

This season UMD went undefeated at home for the first time since 1990-1991 earning their highest ranking in program history at fifth place.
