UMD men’s basketball names Ryan Kirsch newest assistant coach

On Monday the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s basketball team officially named Ryan Kirsch their newest assistant coach. This comes about a month after Casey Bruggeman announced his departure.

Kirsch arrives from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he served as an assistant coach since May of 2018. There he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches 2019 30-Under-30 Team (top 30 assistants under age of 30).

Prior to Kirkwood he worked as a Graduate Assistant at South Dakota State and at Augustana.
