UMD football lands in Texas: gears up for Angelo State

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team arived in Texas today, as they get set for Saturdays match against Angelo State.

This game marks the 12th time in program history the Bulldogs have qualified for the NCAA tournament.

Saturday’s matchup also is the first meeting between the two squads, but one UMD is prepared for.

"When you get to playoff football, thats the neat part of division 2, you have the chance to travel around the country see different confrences and opponents. Angelo State is a good football team, based on what we have seen on film they are fast, and athletic. They also run the football extreamely, so we will have to come out and play a good football game to compete," head coach Curt Wiese said before the match.

Both the Bulldogs and Rams enter the match 9-2 overall.

They kickoff the National Tournament tommorow at 1pm.
