UMD Cross Country teams land 5th in NSIC Preseason Poll

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s and women’s cross country teams have ran their way up to number five in their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Preseason Coaches Polls.

The Bulldog women locked in fifth with 172 points, while the men did the same earning 117 points.

The NSIC’s 2021 Players to Watch include seniors Matthew Trunta and Mackenzie Hall.

Hall is coming off an 18th place finish at the 2019 Conference Championship and placed 34th in the Central Regionals, where Trunta also made an appearance.

Both teams will see their seasons get off to the races September 3rd in the Twin Cities Twilight meet in Blaine. Click here for the women’s or men’s 2021 schedules.
