This weekend’s National Collegiate Hockey Conference series between Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State has been postponed. According to the UMD website, the games scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Jan. 7-8, at SCSU’s Herb Brooks National Hockey Center will be postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the Minnesota Duluth hockey program.

The games may be rescheduled for later in the season. According to UMD officials, if the games are unable to be rescheduled, they will be declared no contests.

UMD officials say the decision to postpone the series is consistent with the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s COVID-19 protocols.
