UMD alums Lowenhielm, Hedin to skate for Swedish Women’s Olympic team

Two former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey players will join Emma Soderberg on Team Sweden.
Former Bulldog forward Michelle Lowenhielm and defenseman Linnea Hedin were also named to 2022 Swedish Olympic Team Wednesday.
This will be Lowenheilm’s second Olympics with Sweden, and Hedin’s first-ever Olympic appearance.
In 144 games with the Bulldogs Lowenhielm tallied 42 points, while Hedin recorded 17 points skating in 143 games at UMD from 2014-2018.
