Two people arrested in Duluth on alleged drug charges

Two people were arrested in Duluth on Tuesday on alleged drug charges. According to the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, investigators conducted a search warrant at an apartment at Tri-Towers in Downtown Duluth at approximately 5:30 p.m. Authorities say they located a 44-year-old in the bathroom, allegedly flushing drugs down a toilet.

Police say they found one bag containing 114 grams of methamphetamine, and an additional 40 grams of heroin, over $12,000, 19 ecstasy pills, and other evidence of drug sales. The 44-year-old was arrested on pending charges of 1st Degree Sale of Heroin and 1st Degree Sale of Meth.

A second person was located outside the apartment with ecstasy pills on him, according to police. The 23-year-old was arrested on pending charges of 5th Degree Possession of Ecstasy.
