Turner lifts Cloquet-Carlton to 1-0 Class AA quarterfinal victory

Katie Turner scored the only goal of the night Wednesday lifting the Cloquet-Carlton girl’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory over St. Francis in the Class AA quarterfinals in Irondale.
Turner’s goal came in the first half. Lumberjack’s keeper Katelyn Olson tallied six saves to earn the shutout victory.
Fifth seeded Cloquet-Carlton advances to the state semifinals Thursday, November 4. They’re set to battle top-seeded Benilde-St. Margaret’s at 12:30pm at U.S. Bank Stadium. For the full Class AA bracket, click here.
