The Kyle Smalley Memorial Car Show brings all the cars and fun to Duluth

Lot’s of classic cars made their way to the twin ports, with a big turnout for a favorite Duluth car show!

Sprit valley week has now begun in Duluth and the Kyle Smalley Memorial Car Show was happy to kick off the celebration. The event drew hundreds of cars outside of Buffalo House. With even more motor heads going down row after row looking at all kinds of cool cars.

They had all sorts of vehicles from all sorts of eras. Which was especially fun to see for those who lived in those eras. Don Maxa agrees, “let’s say they’re 40 and they look at a car they loved when they were 15. When they are 60 they can looked at a car they loved when they were 25 and go ‘wow I haven’t seen one of these in a while! And look at this one! Isn’t it nice?’”

A total of 455 cars were at the show. All of them unique and some even built by their owners. Tracy Grandi says her truck took a long time to build. “When I bought this truck it was in a box. The cab was but together but everything was in a cardboard box. So I had to get a manual and put the truck together. Find where the pieces fit. So there is a lot of satisfaction in getting something on the road yourself”, she says.

Adding to the uniqueness of the cars and the pride that comes with owning one.
