The city of Duluth recognized in a national magazine

Duluthians can smile big and celebrate another accomplishment as the city was recognized in a national magazine on Tuesday.

Duluth was named number three in Esquire Magazine’s article the ‘Top 27 Best Christmas Towns to Put on Your Holiday Bucket List’.

This isn’t the first time Duluth has been highlighted in national news. Among other times, in 2017, Fitbit named Duluth the number one fittest city in America.

Having this mentioned means so much for the city and the tourism that can come from the article. "It feels great to know that people on the national scene are watching what’s going in Duluth. Seeing all the things that we’ve been doing for years and years. So, to get a kudos like that just really feels wonderful because I know it’s so good for Duluth”, says Lucie Amundsen communications director at The DECC.

Some of the places listed in the article are Bentleyville Tour of Lights, a train journey along Lake Superior, Glensheen Mansion and the Winter Christmas Village.
