Solon Springs marks return to normal with 4th of July weekend parade
The community got out for the Solon Springs 4th of July weekend parade Saturday afternoon.
“I think it’s just really fun to bring the community together,” said Solon Springs native Katie Hatfield, “We’ve all kind of been apart for a while, so it’s really nice that we’re all back together and a lot of out of towners coming to see how great Solon is."
Jonathan Main of Hasting said he was happy that kids got this tradition back after it not happening last year.
"It’s huge for interaction for the kids to be back to normal and everything like that,” said Main
Dan Deardoff, who flew the colors with Honor Guard, said he loved the patriotism that he saw from the crowd.
“When we brought the flag walking by, the honors, people stood up, took off their hat and were very respectful of the flag"
