Red curtains going up along store windows in the waterfront district

You’re probably going to be seeing more red around town since red curtains are going up along store windows in the waterfront district.
It’s all a part of the annual storefront window display and lighting contest.

There will be 19 businesses in the city’s downtown waterfront area that will be doing what they can to wow the crowds.

The local business are excited to show off a different side of their store to customers and the community.

Greater downtown council president Kristi stokes talked about how excited business are to participate in the event. “It’s a great way for all of them to show their creativity. They are able to use their products and merchandise in their storefront window. They bring in lights and different things and get real creative and its real fun to be able to see that. And just a good way to be able to start the holidays."

The window unveiling will be at 4:30pm on Friday, right before the Christmas city of the north parade.
