Another year, another fundraiser, and your chance to help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

B105 and four other stations that are part of the Townsquare Media group in Duluth are holding their St. Jude Radiothon through 6 p.m. Friday. The radio stations are sharing stories of children and families of St. Jude and how the hospital and donations from the community have saved their lives.

This year’s Radiothon is extra special, as a Northland man was honored for his contributions to St. Jude.

Harold Ankrum was presented with a brick that will be engraved with his name. Harold had done so much, and this honor is because of his lifetime achievements, passion, and the support he’s shown for St. Jude. Its been going on for 22 years, raising over $400,000.

He is a man of few words, but his love and support speak volumes to his character. Harold is a businessman and owners Harold’s Service in Carlton.

"He is a prime representation of the Northland. Of doing the right thing at the right now, for the right reasons," said Matthew O’Shea. "As you said, his heart is so massive, and all he cares about is helping our St. Jude families and giving children the chance at living a beautiful life."

Matthew O’Shea is the Senior Development Director for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital…ALSAC. If you would like to donate, you have until 6 p.m. Friday. You can visit the St. Jude’s website.
