Prep girls hockey: Duluth Marshall, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton advance to section semis

On Tuesday the Duluth Marshall, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (CEC), and Hibbing/Chisholm girls hockey teams notched quarterfinal wins to advance to the Section 7A semifinals.
Second seeded Duluth Marshall shut out seventh seeded Rock Ridge 2-0.
No. 3 CEC downed No. 6 North Shore 4-0. The Lumberjacks advance to face Duluth Marshall in the semifinals Saturday at 3pm in Virginia.
No. 5 Hibbing/Chisholm held off No. 4 Moose Lake Area 4-2. Hibbing will take on top-seeded Proctor/Hermantown coming off a bye week in the semifinals Saturday at 1pm in Virginia.
The Section 7A championship game is set for Feb. 16 at 7pm in Virginia.
