In prep girls basketball Thursday, Grand Rapids protected their perfect home record while Esko suffered a loss to Pequot Lakes.
No. 8 Grand Rapids defeated Hermantown 73-38 to notch their 10th straight win and improve to 20-2 overall on the season.
At home Esko fell 71-54 to No. 10 Pequot Lakes, dropping to 15-7 on the season. Jayden Karppinen led the Eskomos with 18 points.
