Prep boys soccer: Duluth East, CEC, Denfeld advance to section finals, Proctor to semis

The Duluth East, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, Duluth Denfeld, and Proctor boy’s soccer teams notched wins Thursday to advance in the section playoffs.
Top-seeded Duluth East shut out Andover 3-0 notching their spot in the Section 7AAA championship game. The Greyhounds will host second seeded Centennial for the section title Tuesday at 7pm.
Third seeded Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (CEC) secured the 2-0 upset win over second seeded Grand Rapids in the Section 7AA semifinals.
Number one seed Duluth Denfeld rallied scoring four unanswered goals to defeat Hermantown 4-1. They’ll host CEC for the 7AA title Tuesday at 8pm.
In the Section 7A quarterfinals top-seeded Proctor toppled eighth seeded Two Harbors 13-3. The Rails are set to host fourth seeded Legacy Christian Academy in the semifinals Saturday.
