In prep boys hockey on Tuesday, both Duluth Denfeld and North Shore notched wins in their holiday classic openers.
In the Heritage Holiday Classic Denfeld downed Spring Lake Park 7-1 thanks in part to a hat-trick from Andy Larson.
Opening the first Bill McGann Holiday Classic at the St. Luke’s Sports and Event Center, North Shore held off Moose Lake Areae 4-2. In round two, North Shore will face Ely Wednesday at 10am while Moose Lake will take on Somerset at 1pm.
