Prep basketball Lake Superior Classic: M.I.B girls stay hot, boy’s fall to Nevis

Both the boy’s and girl’s Mountain Iron-Buhl (M.I.B) basketball teams were at Duluth East Saturday, for the Lake Superior Classic.

The girl’s squad was sitting at 10-1 on the season, taking on the Proctor Rails who are 8-3.

Brooke Niska would lead the way for M.I.B as they improve to 11-1, beating Proctor 89-36.

The M.I.B boys team took to the courts afterwards against the Tigers from Nevis.

Nik Jesich got the first basket of the game off a steal, Nevis’s Eddie Kramer would follow up with a basket of his own, as the Tigers would win 63-52.
