Prep Basketball: Bittmann makes Eveleth-Gilbert history, Duluth Marshall boys, Cromwell-Wright & Esko girls win

Monday Will Bittmann became the first, and last, in Eveleth-Gilbert basketball history to tally 1,000 career rebounds during their win over Mesabi East.
In their final season as the Golden Bears, before merging with Rock Ridge, Bittmann hit both 1,000 career points and then became the only player in the history of the program to reach the 1,000 rebound milestone. The Golden Bears would go on to beat the Giants 66-41.
In other prep action Monday night, the Duluth Marshall boys defeated Lakeview Christian Academy at home 68-38.
The ninth ranked Cromwell-Wright girls handed South Ridge just their second loss in the season 55-45.
Coming off a win over South Ridge, the Esko girls held off Superior 43-41 in double overtime.
