During the 2018-19 season Cherry boys basketball had a tough go, not tallying a single win. However the Tigers have clawed their way back, notching back-to-back winning seasons and now sit eighth in the state in Class A.

But this Tuesday 8-1 Cherry could meet their match in 11-2 Nevis.

"I was watching game film on them the other day and I think they turned the ball over like three times in the whole game," Jordan Christianson said, head coach of Cherry basketball. "I’d really like to dictate the style that we play at."

Sophomore Isaac Asuma added, "we’re not going to change our game plan, we’re just going to play how we always play. They’re a top 20 team in the state, and they were top 10 for a while. You’ve just got to go out there and compete, play our hardest and control that stuff that we can control."

This season the Tiger’s success has come thanks in great part to the Asuma trio of brothers Isaac and Noah, and their cousin Isaiah.

Cherry is scheduled to tip-off at Nevis Tuesday night at 7:15pm.
