The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey team returns home this weekend after splitting a series in Omaha. The seventh ranked 13-9-2 Bulldogs will now turn their focus to a top ranked rematch against No. 3 Western Michigan University (WMU).

UMD and the Broncos split their series earlier this season back in November. The Bulldogs know well just how experienced this WMU squad is, with the likes the nation’s leading scorer in fifth year forward Ethen Frank on their bench. He currently has 17 goals to lead the NCAA.

"They’ve obviously got some really skilled players," UMD head coach Scott Sandelin stated. "You’ve got some difference makers, I mean Frank is a difference maker, [Ronnie] Attard is a difference maker, right now their goalie [Brandon] Bussi is a difference maker. He’s been good for them so they’re playing with a lot of confidence."

Puck drop on Friday and Saturday is set for 7:07pm at AMSOIL Arena. To attend the games proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test is now required by UMD. For more information, click here.
