No. 1 Andover too much for No. 3 Proctor/Hermantown, CEC & Brainerd boys skate to tie

In prep hockey action Friday night, the No. 3 Proctor/Hermantown girls fell to No. 1 Andover, while the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys skated to a tied at Bemidji.

Despite not allowing any goals in the first period, and ending the second tied 2-2, Class A defending state champions Proctor/Hermantown would drop a close game 4-2 to the Class AA runners-up in Andover. The Huskies remain undefeated now sitting at 22-0 while the Mirage fall to 14-7-1.

In boys action, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (CEC) and Bemidji skated to a 3-3 tie after overtime. They each tallied a goal a piece in all three periods, with Daine Painovich tally two for CEC. They now sit 6-12-2 overall.
