Moose Lake/Willow River, Proctor, and Chisago Lakes softball teams all punched their ticket to State on Thursday.

The Rebels took on Cherry, neeing to win two games in a row to move on.

They did exactly that winning the first match 7-1, and the second 11-1.

"It just shows their work ethic, they just believe in themselves. They have confidence and they knew they could do it. They knew we had an off game and they just came back and crushed it," said Rebels head coach Kelly Goeb.

"It’s just crazy because no Rebels softball team has ever went. Back when we were the Vipers is the last time we went. So it’s just surreal being the first one to do it," added senior Natalie Mikrot.

In Section 7AA Proctor advanced to state, beating Eveleth-Gilbert 3-2, and in 7AAA Chisago Lakes was crowned champions beating Hermantown 4-3.
