Mayo Clinic COVID map can help you prepare for travel

The Mayo Clinic is encouraging you to check their tracking map before you travel for the holidays and beyond.

Dr. Curtis Storlie is a data scientist for the Mayo Clinic. He said the cases are trending down in Minnesota, which is good news. But omicron could throw a wrench in it all.

Still, he says we’re in a much better place than last year. "The boosters are super effective at reducing transmission. While they aren’t perfect, you can add things like masking in public places even if you’re vaccinated," he said.

Another recommendation is to get tested before you leave.
